Welcome to our Auckland adventure!

We are two Chicago Public School teachers traveling to Auckland, New Zealand to attend the International Reading Association's World Congress on Reading. In addition to attendance at the World Congress, we will be touring New Zealand and visiting Auckland Schools in order to plan a unit of study for our third grade bilingual students. We would like to thank Fund for Teachers for allowing us to embark on this once in a lifetime journey!

  1. OMG it is so beautiful!! I am soooo jealous!! You are making this old fogie teacher want to look/apply for some grants and apply for a passport. You guys deserve to be having such a great time-I am sure applying for the grant was time consuming!! Have a safe trip home! I am looking forward to hearing about some New Zealand teacher tips/best practices!! Maybe we can do lunch when you girls get back and I can hear the stories early!!

    Love,

    Angie
